James gives us God’s promise of wisdom if we ask in faith. Christians too often overlook this promise and depend upon themselves in decision making and problem solving. Read James 1:2-8
STUDY QUESTIONS

2. What should be the result of trials?
3. When we ask God for the wisdom we lack, what three assurances are we given?
4. What is an appropriate attitude to receive God’s wisdom?
APPLICATION
List some trials or testing you often face. Do you try to handle them in your own strength and wisdom? If so, do you handle them successfully? If not, what must you remember to do in the future? Ask God to remind you that you need His wisdom. Ask God for His wisdom now.
PRAYER
• Ask God to teach you to seek for His wisdom in every difficulty and testing He allows to come to you.
• Ask God to help you know the joy that He has for you in the trials He sends into your life.
